Description

Google Forms is part of Google’s online apps suite of tools; it was developed to collect information from users via surveys or quizzes. The tool allows you to create surveys quickly and easily, share them and analyse results, directly in your web browser without additional software installation. The information is collected and automatically connected to a Google sheet.

Google Forms includes advanced features such as menu search, shuffle questions order, custom themes, intelligent response validation, etc.

Andragogical value

It’s easy to use and one of the simplest ways to collect data from participants and save them directly to a spreadsheet for later analysis. It is not specifically developed for training purposes but it is an ideal tool to develop surveys that can be used to gather learner opinions on a training course or class.

Requirements

Google Forms is a web-based application. It can be  used on the following OS/browsers:

  • Chrome
  • Firefox
  • Internet Explorer 11, Microsoft Edge on Windows
  • Safari on Mac

To use it you just need a Google account; then go to forms.google.com

Accessibility

It is free. Being a web application, it can be used via most web browsers on computers and mobile devices
